Request a Clockify account: [email protected]Â
You must complete one volunteer task before requesting an account, and the account must be configured by the Volunteer Coordinator.
To maintain their status as Volunteer Members, volunteers must:
Complete 32 volunteer hours annually.
Of those hours, 14 hours must be related to Fundraising and/or Outreach.
Regularly-scheduled programs are responsible for an additional 1 hour per month for every hour of weekly scheduled time. (For instance, 12 additional hours annually for a one-hour program). Collectives may divide this additional time however they want amongst their members.
Hours must be logged in Clockify in a timely manner unless other arrangements have been made.Â
Volunteers are not required to meet these requirements to continue volunteering at KOOP.Â
However, Volunteer Members who meet the above requirements may program on KOOP's broadcast, submit program applications, and vote in KOOP elections.
In general, claim the entire time you spend on KOOP-related volunteer work.
Claim 30 minutes for certain meetings:
Monthly Station Meetings
Meetings of the Board of Directors, Community Council, or Programming Committee if you are not a member of that board or committee.
Do not claim volunteer time for programming your regularly scheduled show (including if you are in a collective).Â
You can claim time for subbing for another programmer (claim the duration of the broadcast).
Volunteers who have been actively volunteering for less than a year will have their hours requirement prorated starting on the date of their first volunteer activity.
Other exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to discuss an exception to these requirements, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator.
Many volunteer activities are considered part of Fundraising (raising money for KOOP) or Outreach (publicizing KOOP in some way). When you log hours related to these activities, those hours are automatically accounted for as fulfilling the fundraising/outreach requirement.
The following is a non-comprehensive list of activities that are related to either or both.Â
Membership Drive
Post-Drive (mailout, pickup party, etc)
Event Tabling
Event Planning
Major Events Committee
Fundraising
Canvassing for KOOP

To log your volunteer hours, you must have an account on Clockify that is linked to KOOP's workspace. Email [email protected] to request your account.
These are directions for logging your hours using the Clockify website on a computer:
Log in to your Clockify account.
Select Timesheet from the menu on the left-hand side.
If needed, change the date range using the date selector in the top-right corner.
Click Select project, and pick the closest thing to what you worked on for KOOP. You'll see that projects are organized by category, so make sure you're selecting a project in the correct one.
Enter the number of hours (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes) under the date you did them, in the HH:MM format (ex. 2:30 for two and a half hours).
Click out of the hours entry box. You should see a green confirmation box pop up near the bottom of the page.
Optional. To enter a description for a task, click the three-dot icon that appears next to the time entry once you have clicked out of that box. Write in the Description text box, then click Save.
To run a report of your hours in Clockify, follow these steps:
Go to Reports, located in the menu on the left-hand side.
In the top-right, change the date range to be the last 12 months. (You need to enter the dates manually, not select "Last Year.")
Next to where it says "Filter," open the Team drop-down menu.
Search for or select your name (it might be your email address, depending on how you set up your account).
Click Apply Filter.
You can select "Detailed" (next to "Time Report" at the top of the webpage) to view a task-by-task breakdown. You can also export your hours in a variety of formats.
You will have to manually add up your fundraising/outreach hours to make sure they meet the requirement. For help, refer to the list to the left on this page.
